Fluidvibe began in 1999 as a feeling of being connected to the world in many ways. With travel, living life to the fullest and settling in amazing locations, I began a family that now travels the globe looking for adventure and a better way of life. We reside in Vail, Colorado for the purpose of staying removed from the hectic daily stresses of traffic, crime, and negative vibes. Living in the mountains puts us in the most amazing surroundings with clean air, abundance of activities, and most importantly nature. Life isn’t easy and every penny we make goes to daily needs and our most important requirement for happiness- TRAVEL!!
As any one with kids know, the early years of raising youngsters makes it a bit more challenging to explore the world. No longer were the days of cheap one or two person tickets, leaving on a 3 month journey with no notice, or sleeping in a park to save a dime. Family life changed things, but for the better, yeah its a little bit pricier and planning needs to be a top priority, but showing your children the beauty of new locations can’t be beat. In fact, the wife and I finally started to travel for relaxation after a 5 year hiatus in 2010- we had both of our children and she decided to book us a honeymoon trip to Bora Bora, French Polynesia- just the two of us. Now I’m not gonna complain about being on a dream vacation/late honeymoon with my wife, but not having the kids around to share in the experience was brutal. Following this trip, we made it a point to make sure they would always be with us for all trips in the future.
So, mountains had been a part of my daily life since graduating college and bumming around Zermatt for a few years. Skiing was one of those passions that made life better and brought joy to my day. Something about being around for every powder day all season, instead of praying it snowed on your week vacation made it a no brainer. Following a few years in San Diego, the crowds drove us back to the hills of white, to raise our family and grow old in the Vail Valley.
Now ski towns can get a bit claustrophobic after a few years, and having a spouse that doesn’t love snow as much as you makes a beach a major necessity to keep things copacetic. This is when the sandy vacations started to become a priority. After Tahiti, I realized that it had been over 15 years since I had snorkeled, scuba dived, or laid on an empty beach. I was hooked and it didn’t take much convincing to get me to go along in my wife’s mandatory yearly trips to somewhere exotic. That’s where this site begins!! Family Travel to some of the most coveted locations in the world, where we take you on the journey and give you our perspective about what is important and what can be done with focus and perseverance.
